Local citrus industry leaders had the opportunity for some one on one time with Florida Governor Rick Scott on October 16, 2014 in Vero Beach. With IMG Citrus packinghouse as the backdrop, Scott along with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam were able to meet with growers and packinghouse owners to discuss the HLB issue and the importance of continued funding for research. Scott has been traveling around the state visiting private businesses and promoting his jobs agenda. 2014 October Issue
